02/11/2012 - Illawarra Business Awards

The Origin Energy Illawarra Business Awards are one of the most recognised celebrations of business success and endeavour in the Illawarra.

We are very pleased to announce that Pillar was selected as a Finalist in the Exceptional Customer Service and Excellence in Workplace Learning and Development categories of the awards. Pillar went on to win the award for Exceptional Customer Service.

The judging of these awards was a two-step process consisting of a written submission and a face-to-face interview with a judging panel.

Pillar’s success as a Winner and selection as a Finalist confirms our position as a leading business organisation in the Illawarra.

22/08/2012 - Treemendous Idea

Pillar has established a centrally located Treemendous Tree, as detailed in the Illawarra Mercury on August 22, 2012, where every compliment is written on a leaf to help motivate staff handling several million superannuation member accounts.

Pillar staff receive a boost when positive comments about a team member are placed on the tree because it means that someone has taken the time to acknowledge good service.

The tree is used to encourage each other to ensure everyone knows they are valued both internally and externally.

27/07/2012 - Australian Teleservices Association National Awards

The ATA (Australian Teleservices Association) National Awards are recognised within the Contact Centre industry as being the pre-eminent awards program which identifies and recognises top performers across ten categories.

The Pillar Contact Centre entered the 2012 awards under the ‘Contact Centre of the Year’ (81-150 seats) category. This involved an online submission answering over 300 questions followed by a 2-hour site visit by three ATA judges.

We are very proud that our Contact Centre was awarded a Finalist position in the awards, placing us as one of the Top 3 contact centres in the state of NSW.

Our place as a Finalist recognises our strong performance and high levels of achievement.

13/05/2012 - Mothers Day Classic

The Women in Super Mothers Day Classic started from modest beginnings as a walk in the park and has grown into a major national community event.  Since 1998, Mothers Day Classic has raised $10.8 million for National Breast Cancer Foundation research programs.

Pillar was once again a proud silver sponsor of the Canberra Mothers Day Classic held on Sunday 13th May. The Pillar Client Services team and invited guests enjoyed a brisk morning walk around Lake Burley Griffin to support this worthy cause.
